Technology Sales and Customer Service Specialist

Come work with our crew of talented geeky-types, selling Apple products and providing customer support in our gorgeous Hamptons’ showroom and service center.

Role Description

GeekHampton is looking for a dynamic Technology Sales and Customer Service Specialist to join our team! This dual-role position combines technical troubleshooting with sales and offers a unique opportunity to help customers solve their tech challenges while guiding them toward the best solutions for their needs. You’ll be directly engaging with clients in-store, offering expert advice, resolving technical issues, and providing personalized technology recommendations to ensure they’re equipped to make the most of their technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support to clients for a variety of devices (Mac computers, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, etc.)

  • Offer product recommendations that best meet the needs of our clients.

  • Stay current on the latest tech trends and product releases.

  • Maintain a positive, professional relationship with customers by offering timely and effective solutions.

  • Keep detailed records of customer interactions and issues.

  • Maintain a tidy and inviting store front, ensuring shelves are consistently stocked and products are neatly arranged for a positive customer experience.

  • Collaborate with the team to continuously improve internal processes and customer satisfaction.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have a genuine passion for Apple products and maintaining an expert level of knowledge on all product and services we offer.

  • 1 year experience troubleshooting and supporting Mac/iOS devices in a business or education environment is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong people skills and a knack for problem solving.

  • Maintain a calming, helpful demeanor with customers, while demonstrating patience and a genuine desire to delight our clients.

  • You are tech savvy, a fast learner and are motivated to continually learn about products and develop new skills.

  • Able to maintain composure and customer focus while troubleshooting and solving technical issues.

  • Versatile and willing to do what it takes to solve any problem and delight the customer.

  • Enjoy a fast-paced and high-energy team.

  • Like working as part of a team and are willing to pitch-in wherever necessary.

  • Driver’s license is not mandatory, but reliable transportation to Sag Harbor is required.
